Sincona sale 67, lot 4153

This specimen was lot 4153 in Sincona sale 67 (Zurich, October 2020), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$395 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Nâsir al-dîn Shâh, 1264-1313 H./1848-1896 AD, Machine struck coinage, always with the mint name Tihrân, gold coins and patterns for gold coins. Toman 1311 H. Late facing bust obv., rev. long titulature including saheb qirân. Trace of mount, extremely fine."

This one year type was struck along with KM 989, KM 933. One toman was ten krans or ten thousand dinars.

Specification: 2.87 g, 0.900 fine gold, this specimen 2.80 g.
