Mexico 1893-Ho G 10 centavos

from the Stack's Bowers sale of the Kirk Menczer Collection, lot 71359

This specimen was lot 71359 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $408. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1893-Ho G. Hermosillo Mint. NGC MS-63. Finest and only Mint State of just to graded by NGC. Attractive multi-color toning. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." This specimen is the last date of a series struck 1874-93 at the Hermosillo mint. Assayer G served from 1886 until the mint's closure in 1893.

Recorded mintage: 67,000, a common date.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
