Bremen 1745 groten KM-188
This type was struck in Bremen in 1745 is several varieties (KM 188, KM 199, KM 201), varying in the shaped of the shield with the key. One thaler was seventy-two grote. This port on the North Sea was in decline in the eighteenth century, as reflected in its scanty coinage. It revived after the Napoleonic Wars as Germany began to industrialize.
