The first specimen was lot 10029 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €432 (about US$450). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Søsling, 1524. Aalborg Mint. Frederik I. NGC EF-45. Truly a lovely example, rarely seen better than Fine. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The second specimen was lot 10030 in the same sale, where it sold for €480 (about US$500). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Søsling, 1524. Malmö Mint. Frederik I. NGC AU-50. A gem of a coin, exceptional condition for type. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The third specimen was lot 10031 in the same sale, where it sold for €216 (about US$225). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Søsling, 1524. Ribe Mint. Frederik I. NGC EF-45. Lightly chipped but hints of luster between the devices and much eye-appeal on top of the very high grade for type. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." At this time one gulden was 48 skilling or 96 søsling; one søsling ("sixling") = six penning, hence the name. The specie daler would not appear until later.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.88-1.98 g, silver, 20.2-20.7 mm diameter.
