This specimen was lot 10038 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €480 (about US$500). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Gotland. Hvid (1526-1533), ND. Visby Mint. Frederik I. NGC MS-63. a superb specimen, struck in Visby on the island of Gotland (present day Sweden). From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex. Joh. G. Guildal Collection (Private Sale-1918)." At this time one gulden was 48 skilling or 144 hvide. Hvid means "white" in Danish. The specie daler would not appear until later.
