This specimen was lot 10035 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €432 (about US$450). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Hvid, ND (1523-1533). Aalborg Mint. Frederik I. NGC AU Details--Environmental Damage. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex. Herman H. J. Lynge Collection (Copenhagen, 1899), Lot# 216. An excellent example of this scarce emission." At this time one gulden was 48 skilling or 144 hvide. Hvid means "white" in Danish. The specie daler would not appear until later.
