The first specimen was lot 10121 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €264 (about US$275). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 1/2 Krone, 1620. Christian IV. NGC VF-35. Pleasing toning making it an attractive piece. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Dr. Julius Wilcke Collection (Copenhagen - 1922) Lot# 845." The second specimen was lot 10131 in the same sale, where it sold for €240 (about US$250). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 1/2 Krone, 1620. Christian IV. NGC VF-35. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale - 1922)." This type was struck 1619-21 with various mintmarks and varieties and was worth 3/8 speciedaler. "· R · F · P ·" is not a mintmark but the king's motto, "REGNA FIRMAT PIETAS". Christian IV (r. 1588-1648) had a long but only moderately successful reign. His war with Sweden and his intervention in the Thirty Years War were costly and brought little gain.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 9.45 g, 0.859 fine silver, 33.2 mm diameter, the first specimen 9.25 g, the second specimen 9.15 g.
