Saxony 1694-IK 2/3 thaler KM-641
This specimen was lot 5407 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €220 (about US$284 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM, Johann Georg IV. 1691-1694. 2/3 Taler 1694, Dresden. Hübsche Patina, leicht justiert, vorzüglich. (electorate of Saxony, John George IV, 1691-94, two-thirds thaler of 1694, Dresden mint. Handsome patina, lightly adjusted, extremely fine.)"
This gulden of Johann Georg IV was struck 1692-94 and is common. Another gulden, KM 655, was struck 1694-97 for Freidrich August and features a nearly identical bust with a big wig.
