This specimen was lot 3536 in Sincona sale 26 (Zurich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Silberdukat 1785. Gutes vorzüglich. (province of Zeeland, silver ducat of 1785, good extremely fine.)"
This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794. The SCWC catalogs this as Dav-4914, which is only correct for the pre-1700 issues. The weak strike on this specimen is common on this series.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 28.25 g, .873 fine silver, .792 troy oz ASW.
