This type was struck in Zeeland 1762-93 and is priced fairly low in the SCWC tho it is seldom seen. It has almost exactly the same amount of silver as the more familiar six stuivers. Zeeland was the only province to strike this denomination. The second specimen was lot 2823 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "ZEELAND: Dutch Republic, AR 6¼ stuivers, 1786, equivalent to 1/8 ducat, an attractive example, PCGS graded MS62."

Recorded mintage: 1,433,000 for 1781-86.

Specification: 3.53 g, 0.873 fine silver, .099 troy oz ASW.
