This specimen was lot 23423 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Zeeland. 1/2 Silver Ducat, 1787/3. Zeeland Mint. NGC AU-53. A pleasantly toned coin with slight strike weakness in the centers, but overall attractive. The overdate is weak but obvious." This denomination was issued briefly 1716-19 and again 1760-82, 1786-88, 1792-93. It is priced substantially higher than the silver ducat.

Recorded mintage: 97,000 for 1787-88 (including ⅛ and ¼ silver ducats).

Specification: 14.12 g, 0.873 fine silver.
