This specimen was lot 66 in Schulman auction 388 (Amsterdam, December 2025), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,382 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"⅛ Zilveren dukaat of 'pietje', ZEELAND Provincie 1580 - 1795, 1788 over 1789, Gold In goud geslagen. Type Ia. Staande ridder met Zeeuws wapen aan lint ♖ MON NO: ARG: PRO: CONFCE: BELG: COM: ZEL. Kz. generaliteitswapen met versiering, jaartal boven volle kroon. Kabelrand. Uit de Zeeuwse Leeuw collectie. RRRR. Van de allerhoogste zeldzaamheid Licht opgewreven. Bijna prachtig. (one eighth silver ducat of 1788, province of Zeeland, off metal strike in gold, type Ia. Obverse: standing knight holds the provincial arms by a ribbon; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality, date above, reeded edge. From the Zeeland Lion collection. Of the highest rarity, lightly polished, nearly extremely fine.)"

This type was struck in silver 1762-93. Gold presentation strikes are listed for 1773-75, 1778-80, 1784, 1787-90 but not for 1786. All are rare.

Specification: KM 98: 3.53 g, 0.873 fine silver; KM 98a: 4 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen gold, 4.25 g.
