This specimen was lot 13344 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $940. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 1/4 Ruble, 1783-CNBMM. NGC AU-58. Catherine II (1762-96)." This quarter ruble or polupoltinnik is listed for 1783-96. The mintages are substantial but choice specimens are scarce.
