Sincona sale 78, lot 325

This specimen was lot 325 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$192 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Catherine II. 1762-1796, Polupoltinnik 1775, Red Mint, MMD SA. 1.25 rouble according to Petrov. Very fine." This type of 1767-75 is fairly common in circulated condition.

Recorded mintage: 132,000.

Specification: 5.97 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen is 5.46 g.
