Stack's Bowers February 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74829

This specimen was lot 74829 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Middlesex. Skidmore's Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1795. NGC MS-64 Brown. Edge: Engrailed left. Featuring a view of a church, along with that same church in ruins, this olive-brown near-Gem presents some alluring brilliance enveloping the devices."
