This specimen was lot 72183 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Berkshire. Windsor. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1795. PCGS MS-63 Brown Gold Shield. Obverse: Stag reclining right below tree to left; Reverse: WINDSOR / HALFPENNY / TOKEN; crown above, wreath below. Edge: SKIDMORE HOLBORN LONDON. A rather SCARCE type found with a heavily cracked reverse die, this choice piece is tied with just two others as the finest certified by PCGS. Ex: Christie's (12/1985) # Lot 124."
