Sincona sale 47, lot 1548

This specimen was lot 1548 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$60 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"GERMANY, Weimarer Republik, 3 Reichsmark 1929 E, Muldenhütten. 1000 Jahre Burg und Stadt Meissen. Vorzüglich. (Germany, Weimar republic, three mark of 1929, Muldenhütten mint, on the millennium of the city of Meissen. Extremely fine.)"

This type, struck only at Muldenhütten, is among the more available Weimar commemoratives.

Recorded mintage: 200,000.

Specification: 15 g, 0.500 fine silver, 30 mm diameter, this specimen 15.02 g.
