This specimen was lot 4834 in Sincona sale 9 (Zurich, October 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''PORTUGAL João VI. 1799-1826. Meia Peca 1807. Selten. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich.'' (Portugal, John VI, 1799-1826, half peça of 1807, rare, extremely fine to good extremely fine.)"</blockquote>  This one year type is rare. Half peças or 3200 réis were issued only sporadically and in small numbers. The only date at all common is the [[Portugal 1822 3200 reis|1822]]. In 1807, João VI was still Prince Regent for his demented mother; he became king on her death in 1816. The last peça was struck in 1835 during the reign of Maria II; decimal coinage was introduced in 1837.

This specimen was lot 4834 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"PORTUGAL João VI. 1799-1826. Meia Peca 1807. Selten. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (Portugal, John VI, 1799-1826, half peça of 1807, rare, extremely fine to good extremely fine.)"
