This specimen was lot 31124 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $296.10. The catalog description[1] noted, "Joseph II gold Ducat 1787-A, Vienna mint, AU Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC. An example of this eighteenth century trade coinage." This type is listed for several mints from 1780-90 and is common.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .109 troy oz AGW.
