This specimen was lot 32281 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $2,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russia: U.S.S.R. Proof 10 Kopecks 1924 PR67 Cameo PCGS, KM-Y86. A Superb example of this popular Proof issue. The strike is perfect, with sharp cameo contrast. A hint of golden patina graces spectacular mirrored fields and frosted devices, with a stunning overall appearance. None have been certified finer and this example is much nicer than the one, or two, others of this grade that we have seen. From the Feeling Good Collection." This type was struck 1924-31 and was the last ten kopeks struck in silver.
Recorded mintage: 67,351,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 1.8 g, 0.500 fine silver.
