Sincona sale 19, lot 1037

This specimen was lot 1037 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 6,000 (about US$7,519 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted, "3 Kopecks 1924. Brilliant uncirculated." In 1921, having defeated all its internal enemies, the Bolshevik regime resumed the issue of silver coinage of ten kopeks up to a ruble. In 1924, this bronze three kopeks was added, along with a one, two and five kopeks.
