This specimen was part of lot 3496 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), which sold for €190 (about US$265 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/3 Reichstaler preuß. a) 1/3 Reichstaler preuß. 1768 B, Breslau. Berliner Typ. Erworben am 28.11.1971. ...2 Stück., Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one third thaler of 1768, Breslau mint, Berlin type. [One of] two pieces, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1764-74 at Berlin, Breslau, Konigsberg and Magdeburg, this is a common date. One third thaler was half a gulden.
