This specimen was lot 70773 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Middlesex, Davidson. 1/2 Penny Token, 1795. George III (1760-1820). PCGS MS-65 BN Secure Holder. Lady seated with sword in right hand and shield in left hand, legend above and date below; Reverse: Triangle in center with crown above and two hands holding onto triangle, legend around. Excellent strike with plenty of red in fields, a very attractive token." Numista comments, "T & R Davidsons were Pocket Book publishers with a business at 18 Sise Lane, Bucklersbury, London. Davidson was a supporter of Parliament during this period of political instability." This token comes with a lettered or plain edge.
