Künker sale 336, lot 6426

The first specimen was lot 3473 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,455 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Dukat 1778, CA, Wien. GOLD. Vorzüglich +. (Austria, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, ducat of 1778, Vienna mint. Extremely fine or better.)"

The second specimen was lot 6426 in Künker sale 336 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,094 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. Dukat 1778, C-A, Wien. GOLD. Vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, ducat of 1778, Vienna mint. Extremely fine.)"
