This specimen was lot 51446 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA. Yuan, 1987. NGC MS-66. Bank specimen variety. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Mongolian Autonomous Region, this variant features two additional characters on this building side referring to its status as a 'bank specimen.' Fairly RARE and highly radiant."

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 9.30 g, copper-nickel, 30 mm diameter.
