This specimen was lot 3909 in Goldberg sale 104 (Los Angeles, June 2018), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. 50 Yuan, 1987. Year of the Rabbit. PCGS graded Proof 68 Deep Cameo. From the Ora Eads Collection." This NCLT was accompanied by KM 169 (10 yuan, 15 g silver). It honored the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese zodiac.
Recorded mintage: 4,000 proofs.
Specification: 155.5 g, 0.999 fine silver, 5 troy oz ASW.
