SB124-58585 rev.jpg

This specimen was lot 58585 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $1,140. The catalog description[1] noted, "UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Ajman. 25 Riyals, ND (1970). The "Men of Peace" series included Dag Hammarskjöld, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, George Marshall, Bertrand Russell, Albert Schweitzer, Jan Palach and Albert Luthuli (shown here). Wikipedia comments, "Albert John Luthuli (c. 1898 – 21 July 1967) was a South African anti-apartheid activist, traditional leader, and politician who served as the President-General of the African National Congress from 1952 until his death in 1967."

Recorded mintage: unknown.
