This specimen was lot 2722 in Goldberg sale 109 (Los Angeles, January 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Italian States: Papal/Roman States. Giulio (1719). Anno XIX. Clement XI. Beautifully toned gem with great eye-appeal. Rare. NGC graded MS-66." Berman lists fifteen different guilii for this pope; Berman-2415 has the reverse motto "PROVIDENTIA/PRETIOSIOR/EST/ARGENTO" ("The Lord is more precious than silver"). It was struck during year XIX. The giulio was ten baiocchi, while the [[Papal States (1715) piastra Dav-1448|piastra]], the Italian equivalent of the German thaler, was 105 baiocchi (3½ testone).
