The first specimen was lot 2266 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$984 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Sammlung Dr. Charles Froidevaux Aargau 20 Batzen 1809. FDC. (Switzerland, Aargau, twenty batzen of 1809; uncirculated.)"
The second specimen was lot 3014 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 9,000 CHF (about US$11,893 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Aargau, 20 Batzen 1809, Aarau. Spitzes Kantonswappen in einem Lorbeer- und Palmzweigkranz. Rv. 20 / BATZEN / 1809 in drei Zeilen, eingefasst in einen Eichenkranz. Laubrand. Sehr selten.
