This specimen was lot 3011 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$264 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Aargau, Batzen 1808, Aarau. Variante mit spitzem Wappen. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Aargau, batzen of 1808, Aarau mint, variety with pointed shield. About uncirculated.)"
This batzen was struck in 1807-11 and 1816. Another batzen exists with an oval shield (KM 12). No coinage for Aargau exists prior to 1798, when it was admitted as a canton to the confederation.
