Sincona sale 68, lot 5005

This specimen was lot 5005 in Sincona sale 68 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$263 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Aargau | Kanton, Batzen 1806, Aarau. Spitzes Wappen. Selten. Sehr schön. (canton of Aargau, batzen of 1806, Aarau mint, pointed shield. Rare, Very fine.)"

This date comes in two styles: KM 6 (rope wreath), KM 7 (shield with garlands). Both are scarce but KM 6 is unpriced in the SCWC.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
