This specimen was lot 4009 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$151 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Aargau, Batzen 1809, Aarau. Vorzüglich-FDC, About Uncirculated."
This batzen was struck 1807-11, 1816. No coinage for Aargau exists prior to 1798, when it was admitted as a canton to the confederation. Ten rappen made a batzen and forty batzen made a thaler.
Recorded mintage: 350,000.
