The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Joseph II gold Ducat 1776 E-HG MS62 PCGS, Karlsburg mint. Fully Mint State and with incredible luster that sets the fields aglow with rose-hued color, this boldly rendered selection has a slight, as-made wave to the flan and possesses minimal handling in the open expanses. Scarce, and currently the only certified example of the date at PCGS." This type was struck 1768-80 using mintmarks A ([[Austria 1776-A CA ducat Fr-431|Vienna]]), C (Prague), E (Karlsburg, shown here), F (Hall) and G (Gunzburg). Fully Mint State and with incredible luster that sets the fields aglow with rose-hued color, this boldly rendered selection has a slight, as-made wave to the flan and possesses minimal handling in the open expanses. Scarce, and currently the only certified example of the date at PCGS." This type was struck 1768-80 using mintmarks A (Vienna), C (Prague), E (Karlsburg, shown here), F (Hall) and G (Günzburg). It was accompanied by a double ducat (Fr-191).
