Sincona sale 47, lot 1519

This specimen was lot 1519 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"GERMANY, Empire, Anhalt, Herzogtum, Friedrich II. 1904-1914. 2 Mark 1904 A, Berlin. Zum Regierungsantritt. Fast FDC. Herrliche Patina. (Germany, duchy of Anhalt, Frederick II, 1904-14, two mark of 1904, Berlin mint, on his coronation. About uncirculated, Most attractive patina.)"

This type was issued 1901 and 1904 and is expensive. It was accompanied by a gold 20 mark (KM 28).

Recorded mintage: 50,000 + proofs.

Specification: 11.11 g, 0.900 fine silver, 28 mm diameter, this specimen 11.09 g.
