This specimen was lot 70781 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Shilling, 1874. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-61 Gold Shield. Die#27. A bright and untoned shilling with a few light hairlines on the obverse, otherwise no noticeable marks." This type was struck 1867-79 with die numbers.

Recorded mintage: 5,504,000.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, 23.5 mm diameter.
