This specimen was lot 20993 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria Shilling 1873, Young Head, Die #114, MS66+ PCGS, fully struck with lovely golden blue iridescence. From The Kairos Collection." This shilling was struck 1838-87 for circulation. The years 1867-79 had die numbers added to the reverse. This date is common.

Recorded mintage: 6,590,000.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver.
