This specimen was lot 72422 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1874. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-63. Die #31. Lightly toned yet supremely alluring, this Choice minor featuring Victoria's young head is a dazzling survivor offering great eye appeal." This type was struck 1867-78 with die numbers. This example realized less than half the catalog value.
