Goldberg sale 98, lot 2378
China G98-2378r.jpg

This specimen was lot 2378 in Goldberg sale 98 (Los Angeles, June 2017), where it sold for $167. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. 50 Yuan, 2010. Two pandas, one lying on back. PCGS graded MS-70, First Strike. WINGS." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more.

Recorded mintage: 120,000.

Specification: 3.11 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.10 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: KM-1929.
