This specimen was lot 42172 in Stack's Bowers Winter sale (Baltimore, November 2015), where it sold for $129.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 50 Yuan, 2011. Panda Series. NGC MS-69. No spots, tone or fog. An impressive example and fully as struck." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more.
