This specimen was lot 3662 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $911. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. 50 Yuan, 2011. Year of the Rabbit. Multicolor. NGC graded In jumbo holder, Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more. Multicolored coins, introduced in the late 1990's, have become more popular as the technology has improved.
