This specimen was lot 1929 in Jean Elsen sale 149 (Brussels, December 2021), where it sold for €120 (about US$163 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, UTRECHT, Provincie, AV Nederlandse 1 gulden, 1786. Vz/ Nederlandse maagd met speer en vrijheidshoed. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Prachtig à Fleur de Coin. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, one gulden of 1786. Obverse: Dutch maid with spear and pillar; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Extremely Fine - Uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1760-65, 1776, 1780-94. Similar coins are known for Holland, Overijssel, Gelderland, Zeeland and Westfriesland. The Utrecht mint is still in operation, striking euros.
Recorded mintage: unknown but fairly common.
Specification: 10.61 g, .920 fine silver, .307 troy oz ASW, this specimen is 10,52 g.
