This specimen was lot 70382 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $95. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 10 Yuan, 1994. Unicorn Series. PCGS MS-69. An attractive, technically near- perfect and prooflike coin with dark flashy fields and frosty raised devices." This NCLT inaugurated another long-running series of commemoratives in addition to the panda and Chinese zodiac programs already in process.

Recorded mintage: 50,000 + 4,000 proofs.

Specification: 31.10 g, 0.999 fine silver.
