This specimen was lot 2490 in Goldberg sale 98 (Los Angeles, June 2017), where it sold for $599.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Two Pounds, 1995. Elizabeth II. 50th Anniversary - End of World War II. Dove. In original case of issue. Choice Brilliant Proof." This commemorative honoring the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War Two is another in an extensive series of NCLT's struck in multiple metals for the elite and the common herd.

Recorded mintage: 6,057,000 (bimetallic, including KM-971) plus 100,000 proofs plus 35,571 in silver and 2,500 in gold.
