Sincona sale 67, lot 4225

This specimen was lot 4225 in Sincona sale 67 (Zurich, October 2020), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$560 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Muzaffar al-dîn Shâh, 1314-1324 H./1896-1907 AD, Silver coinage. 500 Dinars 1313 H. Title and name in wreath, rev. lion and sun above value in wreath, the date between the lion's legs. Extremely fine."

This type was struck AH 1313-1318 and undated.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.30 g, 0.900 fine silver, this specimen 2.28 g.
