This specimen was lot 33940 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Württemberg. Wilhelm I 1/2 Gulden 1841 MS66 NGC. A remarkable grade for this almost universally heavily circulated type, hardly a reason to quibble visible even under magnification." This type was struck 1838-58. The denomination was retired in 1871 with the coming of unification.
