This specimen was lot 73694 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Wurttemberg. Gulden, 1841. Wilhelm I. PCGS MS-63. Variety with VOIGT signature below bust. A lovely piece, bereft of wear and imbued throughout with soft luster, the peripheries toned a vibrant cerulean while the central areas give way to sunset hues." This is one of three gulden struck in 1841; the others are KM 578, without VOIGT below the bust, and KM 588, an anniversary commemorative. This type was struck 1838-56.
