This specimen was lot 20991 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $3,737.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Wurttemberg. Wilhelm gold 4 Ducats 1841, MS62 NGC, fully lustrous with some light handling in the fields, struck to celebrate the 25th anniversary of reign. Obverse: Bust, Reverse: Allegorical figures with fasces and cornucopia." This rare type is not listed in the SCWC tho a one ducat is (KM 587).
Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.
Specification: 14 g, 0.986 fine gold.
