Künker sale 335, lot 4517

This specimen was lot 4517 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €150 (about US$196 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Friedrich II. (I.), 1797-1806-1816. 20 Kreuzer 1812. Seltener Jahrgang. Sehr schön-vorzüglich/vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Wurttemberg, Frederick I, 1806-16, twenty kreuzer of 1812. Rare date, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type, with the long haired bust facing left, was struck 1810 and 1812. Another twenty kreuzer (KM 521) shows the king facing right with short hair, looking like a car thief.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: 6.68 g, 0.583 fine silver, this specimen 6.60 g.
