Wurttemberg 1809-ILW 20 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 4511 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €260 (about US$340 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Friedrich II. (I.), 1797-1806-1816. 20 Kreuzer 1809. Vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Wurttemberg, Frederick I, 1806-16, twenty kreuzer of 1809. Extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1807-10 and is rather expensive for a German minor. This type was accompanied by a three kreuzer (KM 500), six kreuzer (KM 495), ten kreuzer (KM 502) and a thaler (KM 504). The last twenty kreuzer was issued in 1823.
Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.
