Künker sale 335, lot 4518

This specimen was lot 4518 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €500 (about US$654 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Friedrich II. (I.), 1797-1806-1816. 20 Kreuzer 1812. Herrliche Patina, leicht justiert, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Wurttemberg, Frederick I, 1806-16, twenty kreuzer of 1812. Beautiful patina, lightly adjusted, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1812 only and is scarce despite the substantial mintage. It superseded KM 510 with the long haired bust facing left.
